With a proven award-winning track record, Malaysia’s largest exhibition, and convention centre, MITEC has embarked on a digital transformation and innovation agenda as part of its ongoing effort to reinforce its brand presence in the business events industry post-pandemic.
To further enhance the Company’s digital transformation journey, MITEC has introduced five additional digital innovations to fulfill customers’ evolving needs and to continue improving the efficiency and quality of dealing with them. These are achieved through continuous training, research, emphasis on the customer experience journey, and investing in technology.
MITEC has appointed Qualtrics as their online survey platform vendor to measure the Company’s stakeholders’ satisfaction to improvise customer experience. Establishing an approach for measuring Customer Satisfaction, enables MITEC above all to attain knowledge about their customers, and their behaviours. The feedback from the online survey will help build brand loyalty in retaining customers for MITEC.
Digital signage is used throughout MITEC since this year. The centre is doing away with physical printed buntings. This is aligned with its efforts to remain a sustainable exhibition and convention centre. Clients can utilise digital signage to promote their events, products, and services to more than 50,000 eyeballs in a month.
To ensure that exhibitors have a seamless experience at MITEC, the centre introduced the MITEC Exhibitors Portal using the Ungerboeck software system. This one-stop e-shop allows exhibitors to use the system to book the venue space at MITEC for their events and make payments online too. This will save the hassle of the exhibitors having to call or come to MITEC to check on space availability, sign the agreement and make payment.
As an extension of the digital efforts, the MITEC App can be downloaded via the Google Play store and is available on Android and IOS. With a swipe of the finger, the MITEC app makes it easy and convenient for users to obtain information about MITEC, upcoming events, and business partners, and access MITEC’s e-commerce platforms.
In keeping abreast with the evolving online experience, MITEC has unveiled its e-commerce platforms – Smart Trade Zone (STZ), MITEC’s Co-Working Space & Incubator Hub, and Garden Court Café (GCC). Through the STZ e-commerce platforms, customers can book space at MITEC’s co-working space and enjoy the benefits (free flow of Tea/coffee and usage of meeting rooms, subject to availability). STZ provides convenience to customers who can book workspace and make payments online. Meanwhile, GCC enables customers to pre-order meals and beverages to take away through easy steps on the e-commerce platform.
